A test was also undertaken on the A.S. 13.5 ladder, to ascertain its stability and its static load capabilities. A report was
compiled on these tests which can be obtained from the company and all test results will be forwarded to the company A.S. Fire &
Rescue Equipment Ltd for their review, along with an independent verification test report.
Negotiations are under way with several companies to supply the logistical, technical and theoretical support along with new developing
equipment which is rescue rated for compliance.

Development of the load spreader for fitting to the A.S. Roof Ladder, with a safer system of work applied is under way and trials of
the system have been undertaken.
Closer understanding of the requirements needed for Brigades to develop towards safer systems of work, whilst using ladders/roof
ladders and with the closer contact between A.S. Fire & Rescue Equipment, C.F.O.A and Rapid Attachment Extrication Ltd, an on going
process of information sharing will develop a generic safer system of work on all A.S. ladders/roof ladders, which will be acceptable
to all parties concerned.
